LYDIA TJioe HALL
My work is inspired by repetitive patterns found in cell structures and how these are often related to one another on a microscopic and macroscopic level. I am particularly fascinated by the cohesive interconnectedness that we often find between patterns.
In my work the natural progressions of patterns occur as a result of the repetitive processes I implement on the materials. My work is very process driven in it's construction and the slow progression of creating is recorded in the making of the work. I am interested in documenting time in my work in the form of decay and rust to mark a passage of time.
